Quote of the Day from a Man Raised in A Post-Feminist World
In response to a New York Times Sunday magazine (Feb. 1) story on single women raising their kids as a group with no husbands around, Marc E. Greene wrote a letter to the editor (Feb. 15). One thing he wrote seemed to also apply to marketing – and this consumer gender shift I see taking place (where men seem to buy more often and perhaps slightly more like women):
“There are now at least two generations of sensitive and sensible men who were raised in a post-feminist world; we learned to function outside of the ‘traditional’ gender-role models.”
I say: keep your eye on Marc and others like him for clues to the future of marketing.
